Two DLCs this year or waiting around nine months after ToT for the next one?

So I am a little bit confused right now after reading this. So first of all:

This quote does not explicitly say this is the next content to be revealed, just "some long-awaited content".

The time between the OoD reveal and its release was nearly six month.

Let’s assume the earliest release date for ToT is July 31 then then we are talking about five month.

No reveal until December means around 4,5 month. Plus around five month after the reveal would mean no DLC between August 2025 and April/Mai 2026.

Of course there are a few variables for example they change their dev vlog approach for the next DLC but still no announcement until December sounds too long. But putting a DLC between August and December with all their older TW games focus around that times sounds unlikely, too. And announcing a DLC in October/November and then another "content“ one or two month later is also not CAs style.

What do you think? Am I reading too much into this?

The only way TWWH gets a 2nd DLC is if there was a 2nd team working on, like, DoW or something for multiple years now.

This just doesn't seem realistic, unlike Todbringer or Egrimm, which are actually expected. Doable, somewhat minor but expected by the playerbase.

Its also a waste of slots which just would be a mistake on CAs part to generate hype for DLC.

1. We've had DoW leaks before

2. DoW is an easy race to make with lots of reskinned humans

Its possible.

All of those are "actually expected".

A lord pack featuring Thanquol, the Monkey King and Neferata would sell like crazy. All famous/well-known and hinted-at characters.

Completely unrealistic, moreso. How can they make it?

But I feel like one should be careful about packing all the big names in one. After all, what does that leave for other DLCs? Better to have just one really big name per DLC to make them all sell.

Considering that each LL is sold separatly now, it doesn't really matter how CA package them. Every side of a lord pack should sell on its own.

Ok, there js obviously some sort of personal-wishing-cannon going on. One side expects the game to end in 2 years and so expects everything "important" to come in any moment, other wants it to go on for 10 years of development and so suggests (wisely even) spreading additions to promote actial valuable sales. And the middle ground is probably not even related, because CA isn't capable of doing this one way or another. They will do a discreet addition of some sort, one that fans wanted for a long time...so characters in the game or unfortunately missed as FLC.

Its just more applicable imo.

They are still part of same DLC release, if this didn't matter to CA they would just release everything one by one.

Its also obviously better to do a combined pack with a narrative to generate hype and have some of the popularity of characters boost exposure.

I think -at the moment- you may be reading too much into it, but I understand where you're coming from.

If we treat ToT as separate and put it into a provisional window of release around early August, and we know that in December we get some reveals on future DLC content for WH3, then we've got a 4 month window in between that whilst the TW Anniversary Celebration is ongoing.

WH3 will doubtless feature as part of that Celebration as they indicate they'll be working through their titles post-2000 with focuses & "Content". Leaving aside interim patches that will continue, it wouldn't surprise me if they use this Celebration window to bridge the gap between ToT & December's showcase, and give us -something-, though it's unclear what that'd be.

Well maybe the next DLC is released sooner if the content is more limited. For example, just the Monkey King for twenty dollars. In any case, it's pretty unlikely that they are referring to the next DLC, because that would imply a level of planning that is simply unprecedented for CA. They are more probably referring to the final roadmap for Warhammer III, which could involve some tidbits over the upcoming lord-pack and the big goodbye (read ET).

Why would there be a 5 month gap between the December revealings and the next DLC?

The post-ToD content release pattern is 7 and a half months. From July 31st, you'd land in the middle of March for the next DLC.

Anyone who thinks they know what is coming after this DLC is really taking those 'leaks' that gave us such classics as Mung the Not So Nice and no Khorne or Slaanesh in the pipeline.

I agree with Indypride on this one.. all depends on sales and not to overly worry.

Don't hype yourselves up.  CA struggles to release a single DLC let alone being working on a second one in parallel.

Would be nice, but no. They already have two other titles going. Making two DLC alongside would just be too good to be true xDD Straight up delusional to expect this.

There's no sign of a second DLC for this year. If we want to base our guesses on data rather than vibes, we can expect a single DLC release at the end of August and possibly an announcement in December.
